Venue Terms.
Version 2026-10-25 · in effect from 25 October 2026
These terms apply if you post jobs with ALLDAY. They sit on top of the Terms of Use, which apply to everybody. Where the two disagree about hiring, these win.
Who this is with
ALLDAY is a trading name of FAIR TIP LTD, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC892153.
Posting jobs
The first job you publish is free. One published post per account, and it stays up as long as you want it up. After that, posting needs membership.
Membership is £149 a month, which covers as many posts as you like across every venue on your account. There is no per-post fee, no commission on anybody you hire from the board, and no tier above it.
We take payment monthly in advance through Stripe. If a payment fails we will try again, and your posts stop being publishable until it clears. Posts already live stay live.
Cancelling. Cancel whenever you like, from your billing page. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund part of a month. Your posts come off the board when the membership ends; your account and its history stay so you can come back.
You are responsible for what your posts say, including the pay, the hours and the conditions. If you hire somebody from the board, that is your contract with them, and we are not part of it.
Cover shifts
A cover shift is different from a job post. You are not hiring somebody: you are asking us to send somebody we have already checked, and we pay them.
What you pay
You set the hourly wage for the shift. We charge you one rate an hour on top of it, shown beside it before you confirm, and the total is that rate multiplied by the hours. Inside our rate are the worker’s holiday pay of 12.07% of their wage, employer National Insurance of 15% on their wage and holiday pay together, and our fee of 19.5% of their wage. The holiday pay and the National Insurance are passed through at cost; the fee covers the vetting and right to work checks, payroll, insurance, and answering the phone while the shift is on.
The total is charged when you book. There is nothing to pay if nobody is booked, nothing further to pay afterwards, and nothing for you to put through your own payroll.
The rate you set must be at least the National Living Wage, and we will tell you plainly when one is at the floor.
What we are responsible for
- Checking the person’s right to work in the UK before they are approved, and holding that record.
- Paying them, and handling the tax and National Insurance.
- Telling you honestly what they have done before and what they hold.
- Answering the phone while a shift is running, and sorting out what goes wrong.
What you are responsible for
- The venue being a safe place to work, and everything the law requires of you as the occupier: the premises, the equipment, the fire route, the first aid.
- A proper induction at the start of the shift, and somebody on duty who knows they are coming.
- Breaks on the day, in line with the Working Time Regulations: on a shift of more than six hours, an uninterrupted break of at least 20 minutes, which you arrange.
- Working them for the hours booked. If you need more cover, book another shift. If you do keep somebody on past the booked hours, we pay them for that time and invoice you for it at the same rate an hour as the shift. Failure to pay that invoice may result in your account being removed from the network and any current bookings being cancelled. Everything they work for you through us is paid through us, never by you to them.
- Confirming the shift is not cover for your own staff taking part in official industrial action. The law forbids us supplying anybody for that. If a shift turns out to be, the booking ends when the person arrives and is charged in full.
- Telling us if the person has worked for you before, through us or anyone else, and, if we ask, what you pay your own staff in the role. Once an agency worker has done twelve qualifying weeks in the same role at your venue, the law entitles them to the pay and basic conditions you would give somebody you hired directly, and the wage you set for their shifts from then on must be at least that.
- Telling us straight away if something happens: an accident, an injury, or anything that needs reporting.
- Treating them as you would your own team. Discrimination, harassment and abuse end the booking immediately and are still charged in full.
Cancelling a shift
Cancel a booked shift more than 24 hours before it starts and we refund everything except our fee, 19.5% of the worker’s wage: the pay, holiday pay and National Insurance do not fall due if the shift is not worked, but the work our fee pays for, finding and checking the person, is already done. Inside 24 hours, or if nobody is there to let them in when they arrive, the shift is charged in full: somebody turned down other work for it and is paid either way.
If we cannot fill a shift you posted, you pay nothing. If the person we booked does not arrive, we replace them if we can, and the booking stands; if we cannot, we refund you in full.
Taking somebody on permanently
If you want to take somebody on permanently after they have covered a shift for you, write to us at admin@weareallday.co.uk and we will talk it through with you.
What we do not promise
We check who somebody is, that they may work here, and what they say they have done. We do not guarantee how a shift goes. If somebody we sent is not up to it, tell us within 24 hours and we will put it right, by refunding the shift or replacing it: that is your remedy for it.
Your data and theirs
When somebody applies to your post you become responsible for their information in your own right, alongside us. Use it to consider them for that role, keep it no longer than you need it, and keep it to yourself. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with it.
When somebody applies for one of your cover shifts you see their CV, along with their name, the roles we have approved them for, their experience and the certificates they hold. The CV is theirs: read it to decide, keep it no longer than you need it, and do not pass it on.
We never give you a crew member’s right-to-work documents, and we do not give you their phone number or their address. A CV often carries contact details of its own; having them does not make it alright to use them. Anything to do with a shift comes through us.
If something goes wrong
Nothing here limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, what we owe you for any claim connected with these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, or the value of the shift it concerns. We are not responsible for lost profit, lost business or lost goodwill.
These terms are between businesses, so the consumer protections that apply elsewhere on this site do not apply here.
Ending it
Either of us can end this by closing the account, and cancellation works as set out above. We can suspend an account immediately where somebody has been treated badly, where a payment is outstanding, or where a post breaks the rules in the Terms of Use. Any shifts already booked are honoured or refunded.
Changes
When we change something that matters we publish a new version with a new date and ask you to read it the next time you sign in. A change to the membership price or the cover fee takes effect from your next renewal, never mid-month, and never for a shift already booked. This is version 2026-10-25.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
